Wired Desire release debut EP – Barely Illegal
Release date: 6th October
Tune in, turn up the volume and strap yourselves in as Wired Desire take you on a trip of no nonsense, high velocity Rock ‘n’ Roll! Fresh from their full UK tour with rock Gods Nazareth, Wired Desire are fast building themselves a reputation as the pioneers for a new generation of rock music.
Barely Illegal, their debut EP is packed with raucous riffs, heavy licks and a bass on it with more revs than a Formula One carburettor. Set for official release on 6th October, the EP has already shifted over 700 units from sales at their last 13 gigs alone. With an impressive 400,000 Myspace views including an average of 400 plays a day the Scottish rockers are certainly wired up and undeniably desirable!
Having already shared the stage with Wishbone Ash, Eric Bell and Bad Company the boys mesmerising live show continues to tear through the UK music scene winning over new fans every night. Citing their influences as Aerosmith, ZZ Top, AC/DC and The Rolling Stones, these 5 young rock stars (the oldest of which is only 22) have already achieved in under 2 years what most bands don’t achieve in a lifetime.
Rock ‘n’ Roll is back with a vengeance and Wired Desire are leading the way!!

Q: Milli Vanilli - what was the name of the real singers that Milli mimed to?

A: Milli Vanilli were fronted by Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus, but the voices on their album were actually Charles Shaw, John Davis and Brad Howell. The bands producer didn't think these singers had a marketable image and so he brought in Morvan and Pilatus to front the band.

Q: I have the theme tune to Greys Anatomy going round in my head but can't seem to find it on a CD album anywhere... For those of us who are not yet fully conversant in downloading, is there an album of the music from the show and where could I get it...?

A: We have found the following on Amazon - I hope this helps!

Q: Many years ago when I was growing up in the 80`s I used to go and see a great live band at the `Cartoon` in Croyden called Fast Freddie and The Fingertips. Unfortunately they never really hit the big time although Q scored their album `New Town Soul` 4 out of 5. Any ideas where they are now?

A: Our web whizz has tried to find out some information but only been able to find the following:

- The keyboard player is now into amateur dramatics
- They released albums in 1991 and 1994 and a Live video in 1993

I guess the web can't solve everything ...unless anybody out there can help any further??

Q: Where can I source new music ideas loosely based on other stuff I like, but sometimes even going back to my childhood?

A: No guarantees as everybody's tastes are individual, but if you go on to a music selling site like Amazon, type in a CD or band you like, you will often find 'people also bought...' or 'my fave top ten...' type lists. These make great reading and can help you find new stuff or, indeed, stuff you'd forgotten about!

Q: I've had these lyrics going round in my head for days but no idea what the song is.

"I had a dream we went away
Left this city for a day
You took me southwards on a plane
And showed me Spain or somewhere..."
Can you help?

A: Absolutely! They're from ''Fill my little world' by 'The Feeling'

Q: I've just found a load of my parent's old vinyl in the attic. Is there any way of transferring this to another format?

A: Lots of companies on the web will transfer vinyl on to cd or to computer for varying costs. Shop around. Another option is to buy a USB turntable to transfer vinyl onto your computer. Some versions also have a tape deck enabling you transfer those old cassette tapes too!
